The Administration for knowledge-intensive industry is responsible for hi-tech
industries in the fields of components, communications, computers, software,
computer communications and telecommunications, sophisticated medical instruments,
etc. The Administration is also responsible for the base metals and raw materials
industries, piping and tin products, steel and aluminum profiles, transport vehicles,
industrial and agricultural equipment and accessories, metal and electrical products,
control equipment and subcontracting in the electronics industry.

The Administration deals with inquires directed to the Investment Center and the
Marketing Fund regarding these industries and determines import-licensing policy.
